The queen of a kingdom is very sick and only a plant can cure it: the golden flower, born from a tear of sun. After drinking the juice of the flower, the queen heals and gives birth to Princess Rapunzel. The wicked witch (named Mother Gothel, who also used the flower to regain her youth) steals the baby and raises it as her own daughter, to use as a youth potion. Indeed, being born right after the Queen's healing, Princess Rapunzel inherited the magical powers of the Golden Flower: when she sings, they can heal wounds. Rapunzel also has the peculiarity of golden blond hair very very long.
