Kangaroo (Animals)

The kangaroo is the biggest marsupial in the world! It is found in mainland Australia, Tasmania and New Guinea. There are more than 40 different species. The smallest species is the Wallaby, the largest is the red kangaroo. His jumps can reach 3m high. The kangaroo lives in a herd and feeds mainly in the evening and at night. Herbivore, it feeds on grass, leaves and tree shoots. The baby kangaroo is called the "joey". An anecdote is at the origin of the name "kangaroo".
