Coyote (Animals)

The coyote is a species of the family Canidae. Coyotes are found in North America, but also in Central America and north of South America. Coyotes usually live in packs but usually hunt alone. They live on average from ten to fourteen years in the wild and up to twenty years in captivity. The word "coyote" is of Nahuatl origin. The size of the coyotes does not exceed 60 cm at the withers and their coat varies from gray to fawn. The ears and muzzle are long and pointed. Coyotes weigh between 9 and 23 kg. The coyotes run very fast, thanks to their slim, muscular body and their long, very thin legs, they can reach a speed of 60 km / h over a distance of about 300 meters. They are faster than wolves but less enduring. The color of its coat varies from gray to cinnamon color, sometimes with a slight pinkish hue.
