Popeye (Superheroes)

Popeye is a gruff sailor, susceptible and reacting violently if he is provoked, showing off his strength and physical resistance that borders on invulnerability. Uneducated, he is punctually flashes of lucidity, but does not usually shine by his intelligence, as shown by his very particular language. In fact, he confuses people and verbal tenses, makes many mistakes in terms of vocabulary and syntax, and prefers definitive sentences to big explanations, such as "Blow me down! ("I'm blown away!", "Name of a pipe!") And his famous "I yam what I yam and that's what I yam. ("I am what I am and that's all I am!"). However, Popeye is also brave, loyal, close to the poor, even sentimental about Olive Oyl. Although he is dressed as a sailor, and that is his job at his first appearance, Popeye quickly becomes an adventurous hero to do everything from boxer to farmer, journalist to enlightened dictator. In the comics, his consumption of spinach is episodic, Popeye being naturally strong. Popeye usually wears a black and red sailor's shirt with yellow buttons, blue trousers, a white cap, and holds a small maize pipe between her lips. Beyond its great strength, it is not strictly speaking a model of superheroes: it is one-eyed, has over-developed forearms with an anchor tattooed on each, the prominent chin, walk like a duck and its elbows stand out.
