Ninja Turtles (Superheroes)
This is the story of four turtles and their adopted master and father, the rat Splinter, living in the sewers of New York. Exposure to a mutagen has all five of them turned into anthropomorphic creatures of roughly human size. Trained by Splinter in the art of ninjutsu, the four turtles fight against various threats to the city, be it other ninjas, mutants, aliens, criminals or sometimes even supernatural creatures, all this trying to hide their existence from the people. The turtles are each specialized in the use of a specific weapon (the Ninjat? S by Leonardo, the saï by Raphael, the b? By Donatello and the nunchaku by Michelangelo). They wear bandannas that are all red in the original comic book, but take on a specific color for each turtle in later versions (blue for Leonardo, purple for Donatello, red for Raphael and orange for Michelangelo). They love pizza, the basis of their diet. Their war cry is Cowabunga!
