Christmas (Holidays and Special occasions)
Christmas is celebrated on the night of December 24 to 25 and on the 25th all day. As a Christian holiday, it commemorates the birth of Jesus of Nazareth each year.The Christmas period is called "holiday season" when we include the New Year celebrations. Since the mid-twentieth century, this period loses its appearance religious while keeping alive the tradition of the holiday. In this spirit, Christmas takes on a folkloric connotation, preserving the grouping of family cells around a meal and the exchange of gifts around the traditional Christmas tree.
